The Best Way to Save Money On Your Special Event...
So everyone is thinking and talking about the rising cost of everything, it has now become the new typical British weather topic of conversation and take it from me, businesses have also been affected. For your average Floral and Event Design Company like ours, we are dealing with the cost of flowers increasing, shipping costs increasing considerably affecting stock prices, fuel price increases affecting transport deliveries and logistics, inflation being at an all time high and suppliers increasing their costs due to energy price rises. Unfortunately, these costs naturally do get passed onto the client.
So the reality is, planning a special event is going to cost considerably more this year than it did in previous years. This may inspire some people to rethink how they go about their special day in order to save money whilst not compromising on having what they want.
The answer simply is this…cut down your guest list! There, I said it.
I know it’s hard, I get that with some cultures expecially it is even harder, but honestly, would you on an average day pay for them to go out for a meal with you? That is the golden question to help you distinguish who should and should not be on your guest list. If the answer is ‘no’ then quite frankly, they do not need to make the dinner list.
When you have a smaller guest list, you do not have to spread everything so thinly and it is therefore easier to focus on details. It also makes for a really intimate and personal experience for your guests. We recently had a wedding of just 80 guests - 8 tables and that was it. It was lovely, tastefully done. Here are some pictures for you to see for yourself.
