Spring is in the Air – And So Are the Flowers!
It’s happening! The days are getting longer, the air is feeling (slightly) warmer, and I’ve just spotted my first blossom tree. You know what that means? Spring is officially flexing its floral muscles, and I am here for it!
After months of grey skies, early nights, and my flowers working overtime to bring a pop of colour into otherwise drab days, I can finally start looking outside for inspiration. The floral world is waking up, and it’s about to bring all the bold, bright, and beautiful blooms that I love to work with. If you know me, you know I’m all about colour, texture, and arrangements that make a statement – and spring is the season that delivers in full bloom (pun absolutely intended).
My Favourite Spring Blooms to Play With
Spring flowers? Yes, please! This season is packed with some of my absolute favourites, and they come in the kind of vibrant shades that make my floral-loving heart skip a beat. Here are just a few that will be making their way into my arrangements:
Ranunculus – These little beauties are like roses but with extra flair and drama. They come in the most stunning bright pinks, oranges, and yellows – basically, all the shades of happiness.
Anemones – The deep purple and electric blue varieties? Unreal. The contrast with that dark centre makes them pop in any arrangement. Perfect for adding a bit of edge.
Tulips – A classic, but when you go for the parrot or fringed varieties, they bring all the texture and movement.
Icelandic Poppies – Delicate, ruffly, and available in the softest peaches, punchiest corals, and zestiest yellows. They’re like little bursts of sunshine.
Hellebores – These moody, elegant blooms bring depth to an arrangement and pair beautifully with bolder florals.
