Hey you!

I am Afia, a self-confessed crazy plant lady living in London and the founder of AFMENA.

Being colour obsessed I am at my happiest when given the opportunity to work with varying combinations of striking colours. Typically, my signature aesthetic includes flowers I love, such as anthurium, reflexed roses and orchids. This of course doesn’t mean these are the flower choices you are restricted to when working with us but floral dominant arrangements with interesting form and shape, that plays with texture - is the AFMENA vibe.

We focus on form and texture, using a mix of high-quality fresh flowers and premium silk pieces to uphold our commitment to sustainability.

How We Got Here…

My work with flowers began in 2005 when I designed my own wedding and after 7 years of practice with the weddings of friends and family, the business was established when I was on maternity leave with my first child. Three children later, AFMENA is proudly a family run business - children and all.

The Team…

As an ex-teacher by profession, I take great pride in teaching and mentoring opportunities. I’ve had the privilege of training many aspiring event designers and florists, including our core team members. Our small but mighty team, work with diverse clients, couples, planners and brands.

Your Girl...

Flowers (and plants) aside, I'm a red-lip loving, part-time vegan-ish, fabulous earrings always type of girl. I balance being a business owner and mum of three with home educating, all while freelancing as an Interior Decorator for Show Homes. My hands certainly are full - of good things.
