The Best of Both Worlds

Last month we had a wedding at Cotswolds Hotel and Spa. On site there was a golf course and during prep we had some silver haired lovelies spend a lot of time admiring our floral arrangements and trying to do the guesswork to see if they were fresh or silk flowers.

The reason why it was so hard to tell is because we had a mixture of both. This is a unique service that is not readily available with many companies. Here at Afmena Events, we have the unique service offering of Mixed Florals with our ‘Gold Option’. We can offer both, because we know how to work well with both.

So what are the benefits of having mixed florals?

Silk Flower Benefits:

  1. Silk flowers can be cost effective if the venue stylist already has the flowers in stock. This therefore saves you money in comparison to what you would pay for the fresh floral alternatives.

  2. Silk flowers are environmentally friendly and a wonderful choice if you or any of your guests are prone to hayfever.

  3. With silk flowers, you do not have to worry about them wilting during the day. They are durable and easily sustainable no matter the weather.

Fresh Flower Benefits

  1. Fresh flowers are beautiful and instantly set your wedding/event on a luxury scale.

  2. You have the option of gifting your guests with some of the flowers once the celebration is over.

  3. There are certain flower types where the silk replica just never does it justice.

When you are mixing the flowers, you are able to have the best of both worlds and draw from the benefits of each flower type. Our silk flowers are always premium quality and look extremely realistic. Coupled with some gorgeous fresh flowers and foliage, the results for this wedding were incredibly impressive!

We went for a subtle tropical theme and our couple absolutely loved it. Don’t they look incredible?! …In both outfits!
