The Corinthia London

Our Summer ended on a high as our flowers graced the luxury hotel - The Corinthia London. It was our first time working at this stunning London venue and the elegant design of The Ballroom with its Victorian décor and vast mirrors, leant itself beautifully to a classic floral design.

Initially our bride wanted an all white classic look, and over time was persuaded to give it a bit of colour - just a touch. In keeping with the grey tones of their wedding venue, we stuck with pastel colours and incorporated lilac and peach reflexed roses to compliment the ivory and white base palette of flowers.

The Wedding started in The Courtroom of The Corinthia for the ceremony and we then repurposed the flowers and candles to The Ballroom for the Wedding Breakfast. We worked closely with the Production company Platinum Ace Events to ensure that lighting was used to enhance the look of everything. I especially love to use candles in Ballrooms because they just look so dreamy and romantic and help to elevate the overall design.

We also provided the bridal party flowers, all bouquets and buttonholes and absolutely loved the way they were captured by Sophotography. Our darling bride has promised me that we’ll get our hands on some of the pictures. If we do, I’ll write a dedicated post because there are some tips I’d like to share.

Side note - when we arrived at the venue in the evening for clearup, I actually bumped into Mario Falcone who was a wedding guest. He personally told me he loved our flowers and I felt pretty chuffed the whole night. Got a selfie with him and everything! We absolutely won’t talk about my cut off tired face, we’ll completely ignore that.

Besides roses, the flowers of choice for the wedding were hydrangea and gypsophila which were perfect for our ultra feminine bride. She was absolutely ecstatic with everything and hugged me so tight my headwrap almost fell off! Love it.
