December Reflections: A Year of Challenges, Growth, and Gratitude

December always feels like a natural time for reflection, doesn’t it? As the year winds down, I find myself looking back at the moments that shaped my 2024—both the joyous milestones and the difficult valleys. It’s been a year of navigating some personal challenges, growing through transitions, and celebrating moments of incredible blessing.

One of the most heartbreaking parts of this year was losing one of my closest friends to cancer. The loss left a deep mark, reminding me of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment with loved ones. Simultaneously, my husband made a significant vocational change, a shift that has been a major transition for our family. We’ve had to adapt, adjust, and realign, but through it all, we’ve discovered a deeper resilience and unity as a family.

Amidst these challenges, there have been wonderful highlights, particularly in A F M E N A -this beloved floral design business. Returning clients have been an enormous blessing, and their trust in us has opened doors to work in some truly prestigious venues. This year alone, we’ve had the privilege of creating at The Savoy, The Dorchester, and the iconic Monkey Island Estate. And not once, but twice, we collaborated with the globally renowned Adidas. These experiences have been both humbling and energising, affirming the passion and hard work that goes into each project.

Through all of this, my brilliant admin, Danita, has been a steady anchor. Her ability to keep things running smoothly has provided much-needed consistency for our clients, especially during moments when I’ve felt like I’m juggling a thousand things at once. Between homeschooling my three children, running a business, and taking on a side hustle as a freelance interior decorator (staging show homes!), “juggling” has truly been the theme of the year.

As we approach 2025, I feel a greater sense of clarity about the path forward. I’ve spent a lot of time evaluating what I want to do, who I want to work with, and how I want to approach my work-life balance. This season of adjustment and change isn’t over, but I’m stepping into it with intention and purpose.

In my next blog post, coming out on December 15th, I’ll be sharing more about what these reflections have revealed and how they’re shaping my plans for the year ahead. I hope you’ll join me as I outline the vision for 2025 and dive deeper into what this next chapter will look like.

For now, I’m soaking up the beauty of December—the glow of festive lights, the quiet moments of gratitude, and the joy of preparing to welcome a new year.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to navigating life’s transitions with grace, pursuing dreams with purpose, and treasuring every precious moment along the way. ❤️

Stay tuned for the next post on December 15th!
